Hilton Honors Ditched the Award Chart. Here's How Golf-Resort Pricing Works Now

Hilton Honors prices every award night against the room's own cash rate, with no published chart to check first. Here's how that pricing actually moves, what the 5th-night-free benefit really requires, and three Hilton-family resorts with real golf on-site.

Hilton Honors doesn't publish an award chart. It hasn't since Hilton moved the program to dynamic pricing in 2017, per Hilton's own program terms and corroborating coverage from Doctor of Credit. Search a date, get a number, and that number is built off whatever Hilton is charging for the same room in cash that night. It's the opposite approach from World of Hyatt's category chart, and as of August 17, 2026, it's still how Hilton prices every Standard Room Reward on the calendar.

That's a different problem for a golf trip than for a city stopover you can shift a week either way. A tee time booked six months out doesn't get rebooked because the points price moved, so you need to know how the mechanic behaves, not a single cached number.

How Hilton actually prices a points night

There's still a floor and a ceiling, they just aren't fixed the way Hyatt's categories are. Hilton Honors' own program terms set the low end of a Standard Room Reward at 5,000 points a night. The top end has moved three times in nine months: Hilton raised the unpublished ceiling from 120,000 points to 200,000 in June 2025, then to 250,000 in September 2025, hitting luxury-tier Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties hardest, per The Points Guy's September 9, 2025 report. A room priced at 140,000 points in January 2025 could be sitting at 250,000 by that September, an increase of more than 78% with no chart update to warn anyone it was coming.

The one policy that hasn't moved: no blackout dates on standard rooms. If a hotel has a standard room for sale in cash, Hilton Honors members can book it in points, per Hilton's own program terms, checked September 19, 2026. Points availability tracks cash availability, not a separate award pool.

The 5th-night-free benefit, and who actually gets it

Hilton has its own version of a longer-stay discount, and it isn't open to every member. Per Hilton Honors' own program terms, Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve elite members get every 5th night free on a Standard Room Reward stay of five or more consecutive nights, booked entirely in points, up to four free nights on a 20-night stay (nights 5, 10, 15, and 20 come off the bill). A brand-new member with zero elite status doesn't get this on a first points redemption. That's a real gate, not a formality, and worth knowing before you build a week-long trip around a discount you haven't actually earned.

The benefit also skips Points & Money bookings and any stay booked as part of a Reward Stay offer, package, or promotion. Decline the free night, cancel early, or check out before night five, and it's forfeited with no cash or points value paid instead.

Three Hilton-family resorts with real golf attached

Waldorf Astoria Orlando anchors the Waldorf Astoria Golf Club, an 18-hole Rees Jones design that opened in October 2009: 7,108 yards, par 72, a 139 slope and 74.6 rating from the Professional tees, routed through a wetland preserve bordering the Bonnet Creek Nature Preserve, confirmed on the resort's own golf page. Guests staying at the adjoining Signia by Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek get access too, so the golf isn't locked behind the property's most expensive room category.

La Quinta Resort & Club, Curio Collection by Hilton, in the California desert, has two courses on-site: the Dunes Course and the Mountain Course, both designed by Pete Dye and both playing to par 72, confirmed on Hilton's own golf page for the property and the resort's own golf page. It's a full Curio Collection property, so it earns and redeems Hilton Honors points directly, not through a loosely affiliated partner hotel.

Boulders Resort & Spa, Curio Collection by Hilton, in north Scottsdale, has the South Course (6,726 yards, par 71, 140 slope) and the North Course (6,811 yards, par 72, 137 slope), both designed by Jay Morrish around the resort's namesake granite boulder formations, confirmed on Hilton's own golf page for the property. None of these three points prices are worth writing down in advance; the exact cost on a given date is only good the day you check it.

The takeaway for planning a golf trip on Hilton points

A published chart lets you plan the ceiling months out. Hilton doesn't hand you that. What it hands you instead is no blackout dates on standard rooms, and a real shot at a below-cash-rate redemption if you search early, before a property's price runs up the way Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties did through 2025. That's a different kind of edge than Hyatt's chart, not an inferior one. It moves the discipline from reading a category grid to checking a live search on a schedule, then booking the moment the number looks fair instead of waiting for it to get better.

If a fixed ceiling matters more to you than flexibility, World of Hyatt is still running one. If you'd rather have Hilton's no-blackout policy and can live with a moving price, these three resorts are a real place to point it. Quick answers

Does Hilton Honors publish an award chart for booking golf-resort stays?
No. Hilton Honors has priced every Standard Room Reward with dynamic pricing since 2017, tying the points cost to whatever Hilton charges for the same room in cash that night. There is no published chart to check in advance, so the points price for a specific golf-resort date only exists once you search that date.
Has Hilton Honors' points ceiling for a Standard Room Reward changed recently?
Yes. Hilton raised the unpublished ceiling on a Standard Room Reward from 120,000 points to 200,000 in June 2025, then to 250,000 in September 2025, per The Points Guy's September 9, 2025 report. The increases hit luxury-tier Waldorf Astoria and Conrad properties hardest, with no chart update to warn members in advance.
Which Hilton Honors members qualify for the 5th-night-free benefit?
Only Silver, Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve elite members, per Hilton's Free Night Reward Terms. The stay must be a Standard Room Reward booking of five or more consecutive nights, entirely on points. A brand-new member with no elite status doesn't get this on a first points redemption, and the benefit skips Points and Money bookings and package or promotion rates.
Does Hilton Honors set a floor on what a Standard Room Reward can cost?
Yes. Hilton's own Free Night Reward Terms set the low end of a Standard Room Reward at 5,000 points a night. There's still a floor and a ceiling on Hilton's pricing, they just aren't fixed the way Hyatt's categories are, since the ceiling moves with cash rates rather than being capped at a set number.
